Volunteers are the heart of Cardunal Community Cares. Everything we do—every delivery, every phone call, every packed order—is made possible by individuals who give their time to support neighbors in need.

Whether you can help once a month or on a regular basis, your time makes a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, families, and individuals throughout Dundee Township.

How You Can Help

Outreach

Volunteers help by calling clients to:

• Take grocery orders
• Confirm delivery details
• Provide friendly check-ins and connection

This role is ideal for those who enjoy conversation and want to help from home or in a quiet environment.

Packing Food & Supplies

Volunteers assist with organizing and packing grocery orders for delivery. Tasks may include:

• Sorting donated food
• Packing pantry staples and household items
• Preparing orders for bi-monthly deliveries

This is a hands-on role that directly supports our delivery program.

Delivery Drivers

Delivery volunteers help bring groceries directly to our clients’ homes. Many of the seniors we serve do not have transportation or have mobility limitations.

Drivers may:

• Deliver food to senior households
• Assist with drop-offs at the door or inside the home when needed

A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required for this role.

Event Fundraising & Support

Volunteers may also assist with:

• Community events
• Food drives
• Fundraisers and outreach initiatives

These opportunities vary throughout the year and are a great way to support CCC while engaging with the broader community.
