Grocery Assistance for Dundee Township Residents
If you or someone you know is struggling to afford groceries, you are not alone.
Cardunal Community Cares helps eligible Dundee Township residents access nutritious food and essential grocery items. Our program primarily supports seniors, homebound individuals, people with disabilities, and households facing transportation or financial challenges.
Who Can Receive Assistance?
You may qualify for grocery assistance if you:
- Live in Dundee Township
- Are a senior or homebound individual experiencing food insecurity
- Have difficulty shopping because of mobility, health, or transportation challenges
- Are facing a temporary or ongoing financial hardship
No proof of income is required. Race, creed, background, and participation in other assistance programs are never factors.
Food and Essential Items
Grocery selections vary based on availability and household needs. Items may include:
- Frozen meat
- Fruits and vegetables
- Bread and pantry staples
- Milk, eggs, and butter
- Canned goods and household basics, when available
- Community outreach and support resources
Food is provided through community donations and items purchased by Cardunal Community Cares to support balanced and dependable grocery deliveries.
How Grocery Assistance Works
Assistance is provided through home delivery or limited drive-up service, depending on each household’s circumstances.
Twice-Monthly Grocery Delivery
For many clients, especially seniors and homebound residents, door-to-door delivery is the safest and most reliable option.
- Volunteers prepare and pack grocery orders
- Groceries are delivered directly to the client’s home
- When appropriate, volunteers may help bring groceries into the kitchen
Drive-Up Grocery Pickup
Drive-up grocery pickup may be available for residents who are able to travel to the distribution location.
- Pickup is offered on select dates
- Grocery staples are generally available every other week
- Items are provided based on current availability
