If you or someone you know is struggling to afford groceries, you are not alone.
Cardunal Community Cares is here to help the senior residents of Dundee Township access nutritious food with dignity and respect.
Our grocery assistance program focuses on seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families who may have limited access to transportation or other support services.
Who Can Receive Grocery Assistance?
You may qualify for grocery assistance if you:
- Live in Dundee Township
- Are a senior / homebound individual experiencing food insecurity
- Have difficulty shopping due to mobility, health, or transportation challenges
- Are facing a temporary or ongoing financial hardship
We do not require proof of income. Race, creed, and background are never factors.
If you’re unsure whether you qualify, we encourage you to reach out—we’re happy to talk it through with you.
What We Provide
Our grocery assistance includes access to essential food items, based on availability and household needs.
Items may include:
- Fresh or frozen meat
- Fruits and vegetables
- Bread and pantry staples
- Milk, eggs, and butter
- Canned goods and household basics, when available
- Community Outreach and Support Resources
Food is provided through a combination of community donations and items purchased by CCC to ensure consistent, balanced deliveries.
How the Program Works
🛒 Bi-Monthly Grocery Delivery
For many of our clients—especially seniors—door-to-door delivery is the safest and most reliable option.
- Volunteers pack grocery orders
- Deliveries are made directly to homes
- Some deliveries can be brought into kitchens if assistance is needed
🚗 Limited Drive-Up Service
For those who can travel:
- Drive-up grocery pickup is available on select dates
- Staples are provided every other week, based on availability
How to Request Grocery Assistance
Getting started is simple.
Step 1: Contact Us
Reach out by phone or email to let us know you’re in need.
Step 2: Short Intake Conversation
A volunteer will connect with you to:
- Confirm residency in Dundee Township
- Understand household size and basic needs
- Explain delivery or pickup options
Step 3: Receive Groceries
Once enrolled, you’ll be scheduled for bi-monthly deliveries or pickup based on your situation.
We also stay in touch with many clients through regular phone check-ins to ensure continued support and wellness.
Already Receiving Other Assistance?
That’s okay. Many of our clients receive help from other programs.
Cardunal Community Cares exists to fill gaps, not replace other services.
Need Help for a Loved One?
If you’re calling on behalf of:
- A parent or senior neighbor
- A family member with health challenges
- Someone who may be hesitant to ask for help
Please reach out. We regularly assist families and caregivers in connecting loved ones to grocery support.
